The Project
I am bringing a large-scale art installation to burning man 2017. For those who don't know, Burning Man is a weeklong art festival in the Black Rock desert. The art installation I will be creating is called Flora Resplendica, and the entire piece is inspired by Alice in Wonderland, where nothing was quite as it seemed and everyday life was turned on its head. THE ARTIST
My name is Mayahuel, and I am a seventh grader at Acera School of Science, Leadership, and Creativity. I communicate my thoughts and feeling through my art, and this project is a wonderful opportunity for me to do so on larger scale. My hobbies include LARPing, making jewelry, and sewing.
