Flora Resplendica

Flora Resplendica will consist of a fifteen foot tall wireframe teapot made of metal tubing, hung with all manner of garlands and covered in LED strips. In addition, a pair of ten foot tall mushrooms will stand on either side of the teapot, one with an off-white cap dotted with orange, pink and red, the other with a blue cap spotted with purple. Six shade-giving flowers surround the entire setup. The flowers include an african daisy, a blue dahlia, a yellow rose, a pink rose, a multi-colored rose, and a rainbow lotus. Everything, including the flowers and mushrooms, will be lit up at night to create an island of light. The center of the teapot will be a climbable tower, allowing burners to climb to the viewing platform on top to see the mushrooms and flowers from above. Glow in the dark messages will be painted on the tops of the mushrooms and flowers to be viewed from atop the teapot at night.  I plan to donate the entire installation to my school post-burning man as an interactive playground artwork.
